Lookin for someone who has a radar detector they'd like to sell, preferebly an escort passport 8500 or a valentine, but i'm interested in pretty much any radar detector...

 

Hey, i think i might have what you're looking for. I have a newly purchased Passport Escort 8500(paid $299.99 for it just 1.5 months ago) Its a great radar detector, and still in Brand New condition. No scratches on it, absolutely no signs of wear. Im trying to get about $220 out of it, but if i can get rid of it within the next week or so im willing to do $200 SHIPPED. I have a passport 8500 and a bel vector 985........My bel is the better of the 2 and I would recommend it over the 8500 because it tells you band frequency which with police radar cannot be mistaken, also I have fewer false alerts with the bel thanks to the autoscan feature, otherwise they are both good, your choice.......valentine is supposedly the best but it doesnt have the user friendly features which tell you when real police radar is there by measuring the hertz frequency of the radar.....

All in all they all react the same with laser.......you have to slam your brakes quickly or get nailed......

I drive commercial and detectors are illegal in I believe all 50 states in commercial vehicles, but only illegal in virginia and DC in private vehicles......

it's in new condition and it's the one that has a compass, vg2 alert, and all the good stuff all it needs is the power cord to be replaced because it turns off if you hit a bump so to compesate for you buying the cord i'll let it go for $83.00 shipped to your doot
