Title pretty much says it all.. I'm looking for a 4thgen rear to swap into my 91 Z28.. It would be nice if it had 3.73's already in it to save me the trouble, but if you have one in the NJ, NY, PA area please let me know! I need a complete rear minute the brakes/pad's since I'll want to buy new anyway..

Not what your looking for, but I have a complete rear and master cylinder w/ proportioning valve from an 86 formula firebird. I believe it's the 9 bolt dana rear w/ 3.73's. Pulled it out of a wreck.

Does this rear bolt right up or is there modifications needed? Probably out of the price range I'm looking to spend, but what are you looking to get?

 

Direct bolt in. Not fixed on a price but the complete setup $500.00 and i'll deliver. I know the proportioning valve was about $100.00 dollars new by itself dealer only item.

Actually, before I even consider, a main reason for me upgrading to a 4thgen rear is to have the 4" wider rear to eliminate the wheel adapters I'm using for my C5 wheels.. Is this rear as wide as a stock 3rdgen rear, or stock 4thgen rear? Any idea how many miles on the rear/gears? Do they whine at all? Thank you!

 

No it's the stock 3rd gen width. And as far as the gear condition I do not know I swapped it for a complete noce of an 86 z.

I have a rear with 3:42's, out of an 01 11k miles on it. comes with everything calipers, rotors, cables, etc. I live in Rochester NY 14534. Let me know if your interested.

 

i have a rear in NJ for ya, it needs a new posi though. comes with axles backing plates, no brakes, bolt it in. $150
