Good luck on anything you can find out in addition to that....BTW, his dad's name is Kevin, also, and according to his sister, the scamming biotch doesn't even own a Camaro or Firebird.
have you ever thought that maybe "That" Keving was the "kevin" that commited the fraud? i wouldnt be surprised. either that or he was knowingly covering up for his son. i just find it a little suspect that the guy just up and left to new york

Still havent recieved my cash or exhaust yet. He wont even talk to me. Hey G22lvr can you get me his parents phone number? I would greatly appreciate it, perhaps they can tell me how to get ahold of their gutless son. Later guys.

I posted all the info I had on him earlier in this thread, I think....if it's gone, let me know, I'll look it up again. It's all listed in the book, too......

kevin is, or knows shadow_ops. they have way too many things alike to be diff persons. live in the same place, have the same email (almost) . scammers have to change email addys after they scam some1. thats why they never talk back. Shadow_ops is now or has already gone through Bigblock_z28.

both emails are to operamail.com i've never heard of it before and now 2 people who both scam are using it. i dont think its a coincidence

I might be late, But G22LVR did you ever get a phone call back? I wouldn't let this get away; even if it isn't "worth" the $425. Call the cops, call the military , SOMEBODY better be held responsible!! Forget that, either the dad is the scam artist or he needs to be held responsible! Kevin needs to find his son and get that fool... So close to a case solved ..

Hey man , File a police report @ your local Police station .
Have them forward it to his local police station .
File a complaint on the IFCC board .
Find out where your local FBI office is and file one there to .
I have done all this to try and catch the guy that scammed me over the net . And from what I hear he may be getting caught .

Man i know exactly how you feel. I was looking around on ebay and found an in dash dvd player i wanted and the webpage said that the buy it now option was the cheapest way to go and it wasn't on the page to use, so i emailed her and she responded back agreeing to sell me one at an awesome price. She gave me her name and address and telephone number, everything. Then just to be safe i went back to read her feedback on ebay and she had 100% positive and all the replies were good. Everything looked safe to me so i sent her $989.00 the next day and she never spoke to me again. I contacted ebay, they didn't do crap, I filed a complaint at www.fraud.org over a month ago with no word from them yet. I tried calling the local police in her area, that didn't work either. Everyone pretty much just told me I was sh*t out of luck and that the situation "sucked" but no one could do anything. The fraud place told me that unless they have more than one complaint on the same person, than more than likely they won't have a pattern to follow and they won't even pursue the case. It sucks man but just learn from your mistakes. Mine cost me twice as much as yours did but I'm sure as hell more carefull now. Good luck in finding that punk and fixing this whole situation though.

By the way......don't buy crap from "lyzzyloo" on ebay. (unless you just want to give somebody some money for nothing, which in that case, i could use some so just give it too me )
For that much money, I'd buy a plane ticket to any city in this country, and I'd leave with my money. That's really jacked up.

It's lucky that AFLS1 got this tool's SSN, just in case he does split. Just a thought though: if it took him this long to cash the check, maybe he's going to send the parts? Still, I'd be getting the authorities involved now.

I too had a bad transaction lately, though not as bad. I really can't tell you why, but I've had a very high percentage of trades here go badly. I have traded with several moderators, which have always been great, and also with most of the regulars. I did buy a bad part from a well-respected member that turned out to be bad, and cost me a bit of $$, but I believe the person thought the part was good.

My advice: before you send somebody money, do a search for all their past posts and decide if this is somebody you want to trade with. Old posters aren't necessarily good traders, as in the guy who stole the money I sent for exhaust manifolds. It was Treyz28's buddy, I have forgotten the scumbags' name. Also, if they can't provide a couple phone numbers, a home address, full name, and then verify them on the phone, I'd walk away. I'd also either insist on sending payment through Paypal on credit card or on a USPS money order sent via registered mail, signature required. Make sure they give you explicit details about the part, and keep all emails and paperwork, including the MO receipt. Before sending money make sure to save the page where the ad was posted. When transactions go badly, those posts seem to dissappear quickly.

Do all these things, and you can make a good decision about doing business, and have a solid recourse if it doesn't.

Oh, guess I'm a lil late to the party

Interesting that this thread and mine, both on the same topic, have such a huge view/post ratio. Why is that so high?

I guess it's because LS1 members like to give advice and help each other.

All I have to say is " These scammers suck"! This is a website that all the f-body enthusiasts need . All of the honest people that come here to buy, sell or trade should never be ripped off!!!! Most of us come here to get a good deal or to sell parts for a great price are only here for that reason and it just sucks that there are some A$$holes that have to get on here and screw it all up. I know my post count isn't that high but I am only here for one reason, to offer the other members the the same great deals they have offered me. It just sucks that these people are trying to ruin this site. As a fellow member this is the best place I have ever found to get the stuff or questions I need to build my car. I know almost all of the members feel the same way. I have only been ripped off once so far and hopefuly these CLOWNS will be dealt with!!!!

Good luck guys!

Lonnie
