I believe that's an LT4 bellows.

I'm back! Sorry for the slow response, my firewall machine took a hit before the holidays and I just got it going again.

The bellows there was taken from a bone stock LT1 air bellows. As with most things under the hood on the car, its a good example of custom work. I used a modeling blade to carefully cut it to match the TPI air filter system in the nose. One alternative I have seen used is heavy gauge rubber piping that a plumber might use as an angled joint, but the one I saw didn't fit so well.

Pricing. Pricing is, of course, negotiable. From my perspective, I have a car that would be worth $6500 if it had a stock LT1. But it has a forged 355 that I put over $7500 into.

Right now I am looking for $9900 as it sits now with the 355 and all the bells and whistles. If the car doesn't sell privately, I'll either E-bay it in the Spring or sell the engine and car (with stock LT1) separately.

The car's current condition is good. The passenger window motor needs replacing and I have two brand new motors to go with the car. I bought it with 45k miles and used it as my daily through 2 years of highway commute to college. Since then it spent 7 months in various stages of LT1 conversion followed by 4 months of driving before the original LT1 donor's oil pump failed. Then the car sat again for 6 months as I waited for the heads and other parts to be done and finally for the engine to be built. In the past two years the car has seen duty mostly as a weekend driver and show car. I have to admit, she took a back seat for a while to the '00 Corvette, but it pays off in the low miles on the drivetrain.

Edit - had a thought about the bellows when I realized you had a 96, not an LT1 swapper. If you mean the accordion section from the MAf to the TB, that part is for C4 Corvettes equipped with a 95-96 LT1. I ended up buying a LOT of new GM parts when the 355 was built because I wanted to make the engine bay and the swap in general look completely professional and clean. Its hard to tell now, but I put whole weekends into re-routing parts of the wire harness. The end result is a very clean looking LT1. Worlds better then the original TBI engine bay, and worlds better than the clutter of a 4th gen engine bay, IMO.

I'm getting a lot of e-mails asking for more pictures. I wanted to let everyone know that I have a lot of recent ones, and am just waiting to get my digi-cam back to take a LOT of close-ups. I was supposed to have it back over the weekend, but it looks like I'll be getting it during the week. So I'll be playing professional photographer the next time I have a sunny day and the digi-cam.

Thanks for your patience,
Brett
