Do not buy from Black Cloud (Major Update) He has made ammends
I just recently purchased a laptop from John Leach in south carolina. He stated that it was a pentium 3 500mhz laptop with a 14" LCD screen. The laptop arrived today and it was a pentium 2 365mhz laptop with a 13" LCD this is far from what I thought I was buying. I offered him the option to paypal me back 50 dollars from the total of 425 dollars shipped that I sent to him. Which I thought is fair. I stated if he didn't that I would contact the authorities, paypal, and post a thread on here. I gave him till saturday to send me the money to cover discrepensies. He pm'd me back with this.

You may ask how do I know it's not a PIII anybody that has the common knowledge to use a computer to tune a car should know that you can right click on the my computer icon select properties and it will tell you the system specs in windows xp.
Now John the ball is in your court you can deem up to what you did and settle this or I will file a complaint with the authorites. I have purchased from many people on this board and I think people can attest to me being a good buyer. If I recieve the 50 dollars or some other option from you I will have this thread deleted otherwise I will persue this come monday.
I have emails and pm's and even a voicemail on my phone of John listing the specs. He seemed like a really nice guy but I got burned once before and I'm not letting it happen again.

wow... you should take some print screens of your computer showing the system specs and put em up on the web to show everyone here how much of an idiot this guy is. if you need help just PM me. I hope this gets resolved.

I've managed to run WinXP on a Pentium 150MHz with MMX and 64MB of RAM. Let me tell you, it was SLOW, but it worked. Maybe I'll try it on a 486 one of these days just for the hell of it to say I did it

It works flawlessly for what I bought it for ans I advertized as such.
I never looked to see the details because it worked great.
If you don't want to buy from me then don't.

a pentium2 is a friggin antique!!! that that thing on the antique roadshow and see if its worth money! lmfao
he should have to refund you a lot more than $50, half of what you paid would be a lot more reasonable.........that thing is about as valuable as a doorstop.

Black cloud, if you dont make good , he is gonna be contacting the police, I'm sure you dont want them on your tail... Interstate Fruad is not a good thing to be getting arrested for. The police will come when and if contacted...

i hate seing good people gettin screwed over...screw the 50$ get all of your money back and buy another computer from someone else..if you need help finding one let me know..i have some good hookups.
