Im not sure when it was built by Art Carr, I bought the car in 00, and the trans was rebuilt in 02. The pump still accepts a LT1 converter, as it still uses the LT1 imputshaft. The trans has maybe 9k on it, shifted perfectly when pulled out. I just wanted to go with a 3500 stall and knew OBD1 wouldnt do it. If you want pix of the tq arm please email me and I will reply with the pix. Im not sure how much power this trans would handle. It was behind a 355, good heads, 6lb blower early in its life. After the rebuilt the blower was taken off.
