Beware of TArider21
Re: Beware of TArider21
If I remember correctly, the big deal about the GT option in '94 was that it was how you got the uplevel spoiler. Regular T/A's got the low spoiler that was standard on all models. In the later years, they removed the GT option and made the spoiler its own option on the T/A. Additionally, the GT option was a fully loaded bird with every conceivable option available at the time. Plus the doors got emblems that said "Trans Am GT" Its spoofable, but if its all there, it could be legit.
Don't quote me on all of this, I'm a little rusty!

!!! LOL !!!This guy sounds like a dick, and I like the fact that he hasn't responded to this thread at all, lol!
On a side note, can anyone check up my car on Carfax? I just always think its something handy to have around. I know my car is an '88 Trans Am...no GTA model or anything special about it
But seriously if someone could, PM me so we don't make a big deal of it in the thread.Back to the topic... HAHAHA!! Don't buy from this guy..

All GT's were not fully loaded. I've seen some with no T-tops, no leather, etc. and I've even seen one with a 115 mph speedo.
NONE had "Trans Am GT" emblems from the factory. What you see in my avatar I did myself. There is one other that I know of in Charlotte, NC - and that guy copied what I did to mine.
You can make a '94 TA look like a GT, which is what probably happened to Jason's car, but his is not a GT. The codes on the glove box door gave him away - and at the same time burst his little bubble

I did that intentionally so he wouldn't have a clue and would give me the actual code. Btw, the V-6 performance option was not available in '94 or '95. The 200 hp V-6 option began in '96.

A quick search shows this. By the looks of this source it seems V6 only. Guess ole boy was too silly to do a quick web search before he posted
God this thread makes me laugh, almost on a daily basis.

Jason's been looking for a rebuild kit for an LT1. I wonder what he really has? Don't think an LT1 rebuild kit would work very well on that 3800 six-banger

Here's my guess: The little turd doesn't have a clue what he has - if he even has the car at all. Whatever car he has been getting info and pictures from is probably a standard '94 TA that someone put a raised spolier on A lot of people have done it with 95's and 96's. When I posted all the codes (Y's and W's) he ASSumed it wasn't a "W" thinking that had something to do with a WS6, which it obviously isn't. So he picked the highest number following the "Y" (87) that I listed thinking that it had to be the GT option code

My other guess is that he doesn't have the car at all. I gave him the exact location where to find the code. He suposedly looked. If he has the car and it's a TA he should have come up with something other than Y87!
