The car has been in an accident. Jason already admitted that via e-mail so here's where carfax leaves a little to be desired.

 

It also didn't catch the fact that it is not the GT option, but rather implies that it is.

A pontiac Firebird Or a Formula OR a Trams Am OR a GT a rather generic way of listing all the FB modles on one line bet he got sold the car off the carfax sheet and the used car lot hustled him into buying a POS based on "look here it is a trans am gt" OR more importantly he saw the carfax from another car as he is yet to demonstrate he even owns the car.

 

Yeah, you're right. Thanks for the clearification. That's probably where he came up with the "GT" thingy too. Maybe he saw in blue book or NADA and thought, 'Man a GT is worth more. Think I'll tell everyone that's what I have!'
