3.73 3rd Gen Rear-end FS!
3.73 3rd Gen Rear-end FS!
Hey guys, I have a complete 3rd Gen rear-end for sale. I picked it up from a local trade and have nothing to use it for since I have a 4th gen. I was told it's a 3 series carrier with 3.73's and posi. It has disk brakes, not drums! It can be yours for $250 + pick-up or you pay for shipping, even though pick-up is prefered since it would cost so much to have this thing shipped. If you have any questions, pm me and I can get back to you. Thanks.
Re: 3.73 3rd Gen Rear-end FS!
Hey man, I just went out to our second garage in the freezing cold and they much be cast since a magnet stuck to them. Also, it has part of a torsion bar on it, and some of brackets that are on either end that must bolt to the car or sumthing. So you can tell it was basically cut out of the car. Also has the swaybar still on it. I tried spinning it by hand so I could see if it realy does have 3.73's but something is froze up on it preventing it from turning at all, but it is pretty rusty from setting so it's probally just the brakes holding it up.
As for the Ls1 rear-end, I don't really have a use for it right now and it would just set. And since I have a 6-speed, when this rear-end blows on me, the car will just sit again until I can afford a 12-bolt. Right now I'm trying to get cash so I can get the parts to finish my engine. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.
