1993 Winshield

I am pulling the windshield from my 1993 Z28 Camaro this weekend and going with Lexan. The car is going to be a full time drag car.
$200 and the windshield looks new as the car only has 22, 880 original miles.

I don't recommend this for street cars.
The new lexan windshield will have a metal fastner around the edges and will not look "pretty" the top of the new windshild will not fit like the factory glass did and will have to have metal spacer inserted between the lexan and fram to make it even with the roof of the car.

I am doing this to put in a 12 point cage and it is easier to weld at or near the windshield with the glass out of the car; I then thought well why put the glass back in.

If your still interested let me know and I will ask the glass guy if is interested in pulling another windshield.

It is $45 to pull the glass and re-install (but I am not re-installing) so the price could be $40.
The lexan is $180
The special tool to apply the fastners (very expensive tool) and fastners has not been determined as yet, but we will have one by Saturday.
Then the labor to install and cut the Lexan is about $75, depending on 'if we have to heat the lexan for contures.

No..... I'm talking about the glass, not the lexan! Lexan is a no go for the street.
