I don't have any pics, but the shop that did mine trimmed the tint just below the matrix, then masked and painted the whole matrix black. It looks a lot better than bubbled tint, and if you didn't know it was done that way, you'd have a hard time spotting it. My tint is 15% all around though, so it's pretty dark.

It's so tough to get a good tint job with our rear windows. Most people either have a poor job up around the teflon dots, or have a strip of vinyl or paint placed there to cover it.

I'd like to get a first hand look one of these days at a good tint job. I really haven't had a good look at one that has been partially painted yet.

The shop that did mine just tinted right over the dots, I think it looks fine.

I'll try to take some pics on Monday at work, and email them to you. You can't even hardly tell it was painted, unless you know that is what was done. Mine looks great IMHO. I think it cost 110.00 for the back, and 40.00 for each side window. A place called Precision Tinting did mine. He used one solid piece of tint and a stretching technique for the back window.

I got mine done in Bellingham and it looks like s**t. I've got quite a few air bubbles over all the windows. I keep meaning to take it back and have it redone but just don't ever have the time. It's not really noticeable unless you're inside the car. I hate it though.

Thanks guys, lynnwood is right by Seatle which is like 4 hours from me but I might have to scoot down there to have it done. I hate to say it but I have'nt found a decent place up here yet its freeking sad. Image Plus fugged up my old camaro, speedy screwed up my buddies Berreta, Bullet wouldnt do my car and neither would the guy that advertises his mobile buisness on the buy and sell , and midnight were dinks and bumbled my appointment twice . Sheesh , I might try Midnight again if nothing else pops up.

Wow this is an oldtimer thread back from the dead .

Fwiw I had my windows done at shades in port moody , guy made a mess of the inside of my car , left crap in it , wrinkled / wrecked the back black soft trim peice ( BRAND ***KING NEW ), did a not so great job on the side glass which I have to get redone as its lifting off in spots, but a good job on the back after I made him fix the dot matrix with vynal . I noticed a general disrespect in the way my car was treated with 600 km on it and I wont go back or recomment to go to him . If its a new car it should be treated with a little care , not sitting on my rear hatch and munching it all up and leaving the seats wet with solution and paper towel bits stuffed into the edges etc and scuffing shoes across my new black paint
