What bolts do we use

I know this may be a dumb question, but do we use metric bolts on our cars?

I got the accesory bracket off and the plug fixed but for the life of me I cannot get two bolts back in the head. It REALLY feels like I'm about to strip the threads.

then I noticed that the bolt in question is metric yet the other bolts are imperial.

Any advice?

Bolt sizes on American cars have both SAE and Metrics. If you feel like you may strip a bolt, definitely see if a metric will fit better. It's much easier, trust me.

Shaun, thread a bolt into the holes with your fingers before trying to crank it down.... then look and see what bolt you have in your hand and if its metric use metric bolts . Always make sure you can thread a bolt in before cranking on it... or else your going to be hating life when you have to helicoil or weld your nice shiny heads.
