Twitch or any others with a bodyshop hookup

I need my whole front bumper repainted thanks to an "N" driver in my underground. I want it done right so the paint will flex and not chip. The bumper has to be taken off the car, repainted and re-cleared to be done right.

Anybody know of a place who won't cut corners? I had a guy paint my old green 94 and he left the bumper on. A year later the paint was chipping.

I would recommend meadow ridge collision in maple ridge.

Fwiw Ive done alot of both ( on and off cars ) and I actually much prefere doing them on the car. . .One shop I worked at insisted doing them on stands all the time and it was the biggest pita ever. It made metalic blends into the quarters a real bitch. If it peeled most likely he didnt put enough of a scratch in there for the paint to bite.

Also If its ICBC they have to take it off 99% of the time as part of the repair there payed for or scratch it off the work order. If the shop that did the job was payed to remove and refinish the bumper by icbc you have recourse.

I got the guy to pay me cash based on a few estimates I had done. Funny as he origionally hit me and didn't think I'd find out.

I'll check out meadow ridge.

The job i had done on the old car was a $250 cheapy so no wonder it didn't last.

I've never seen anything better then a good old GM paint job, my 93 had the whole front painted because the hood flew up & damaged everything, I asked for them to include the front bumper to get painted. Well the next week I was on the HWY & nailed some old lady from behind cuz she slammed on her brakes for no reason on the HWY, well I went out & looked, everyting was perfect, the bumper fled & the paint still looked new. Any other body shop I've ever seen do a paint job for that kind of money I would see the paint crack immidiately on our cars even just from a car hitting you while parking infront of you/behind you. There are a few examples I don't want to mention any names .

Its funny how many shops say their paint jobs are the best until you ask them how it would stand up to flexing, I've never gotten a positive answer.

Ive got some ugly spidering happening from a cheapie paint job the previous owner must have done =/ Let me know if you guys find a good place. I'm leaning toward the GM alternative right now

That pisses you off...

I dealt with Prestons and Wolfe and I will NOT recommend either. Avoid them, IMO.
