Just wondering if anyone has the numbers of what their stock 305 Camaro ran in the quarter. I was hoping to find out what mine runs, but MRP was sold out by 5:40 or so Friday. My G-teck reads 15.27 @94 mph.

I met a guy a year ago in a blue mid 80's Camaro and he ran 14's I thought!

 

who cares man ... i dont know why u even bother racing that stock 305 when u have a fast truck... that would be like me taking my beater cutlass to the track and running 17s

those 305s are pretty slow... ken should be able to chime in .. he had a fairly modded 305 and was having a hard time getting into the 14s .. but i think he finally did

 

I drove an 83 305 Z28 auto Carb'd. It pulled decently but i think my 15-second VW could have beat it

 

There's a guy on vifbody with a pretty decently modded 305 apparently and he's having trouble breaking out of the 15's

 

My bone stock 88IROC with a TBI 5.0 ran 15.3s all day long

Had 102K miles on it and did not leak a drop of oil!

 

Ha ha, I hear you man! But guess what, Firstly I can not race at MRP with it. Secondly, no one wants to race me on the streets. I had the most fun with it when I was running 13's and 14's cause then everyone wanted a piece of me.

So, Friday after Mission, f u of us gathered on a quiet road and I had three races within 20 minutues. Man, I could never do that at Mission or with my truck.

I first of all beat a 2003 14.3 Stang. Next I beat 79Z28 who ran 13.2 that nite. And finally I beat a TA which runs 13.5's!

That's why I bother racing my stock 305 with a shot of hamburger helper!

 

I've always wondered what a mid 80's Zed could do with a near stock engine and a big bottle of juice in the back...........could it possibly see low 13's?
This would be a fun project and something that would not likely empty my already drained pocketbook.

 

Panda, I am already in the mid 13's! If I ever get into Mission, I will try and dial this puppy in and maybe hit 12's!

It has a stock 160 h.p. motor and I will see if it can handle a leaned out 225 shot! If it can, then I want to put "sideways" in his place if he will run on all season radial street tires and without the bottle, hehe! See what that boy is made of! Hopefully he won't go sideways next to me!
