Black absorbs heat... will heatsoak be a concern? If the TB bypass is supposed to be good for a few hp, then maybe making the CAI tube a brighter or shinier color would help?

fine, i'll get it ceramic coated then

redi - strip charges $150 for a set of headers .. i doubt they'd charge much for a small CAI

No time to go into it right now but black does NOT "Absorb" heat

On that same note the velocity of the air moving through there will make any color fine reguardless

the color of the material only determines its properties regarding to eflective heat .. such as UV rays (sunshine) or other sources of heat that are beingreflected from a source, not the heat thats in the air... so a black piece Vs a shiney piece, both absorb the same heat inside an engine compartment ... but if u put them under the sun, the black one will get MUCH hotter

the idea for having it ceramic coated was because the ceramic coating will resist absorbing ANY heat under the hood

Yes, but it is plastic. Plastic doesn't conduct heat as well as metal.

Sideways, I think that pipe would look good done up in a ceramic coating.
