need advice please

hey, i need a cat, but i'm not sure wheather to get an exhaust at the same time as money is running low. someone told me that the magnaflow 3.5 Inch exhaust is a good way to go. they sell them for $335u.s with a cat included. but to me that sounds too cheap. how is the magneflow exhaust? i know it would be louder then the stock one, but does it sound better or just messy? also i like the stock tips much better, can i put those on instead?
thanks

just as and fyi, on my car i have the flowmaster, 3" catback made for ur car (no cat included) which had turn down pipes, so the stock tips would fit on there perfectly, if they're 2.5" inlet...

i got it for $400 CDN all in at mopac... talked them down to $350 plus tax

good call talos, obviously i went to best buy 1st, he was gonna give it to me for $329 i think it was, but they needed to order one in, and coming from flowmaster it would have taken months or i could pay $40US to have it rushed, so i went to mopac, and they had it for $379 i think... i tried telling him i could get it from best buy in a couple of weeks for $329, but he knew i was lying (dammit), so i haggled him to $350
