Insurance and Aircare Q
Ok , Im getting ready to swap my new 5.0 driveline in my mustang body which was a lx 4 cyl . Is there any way to get the car re registered as a V8 for ease of aircare and crap ??

Yep
The correct way is to pay about 150 bucks at a provincial testing station for a mechanical inspection. If you don't, the "wrong" engine will be a constant PO with Air Scare and ICBC. I've done it twice, with a 461 BBC into my '81 T/A (ex-turbo 301), and I had to re-register (with a new BC VIN!) my PU when I went from 1/2 ton 6 to 3/4 Ton V8 when I changed out the running gear and frame under the body. The inspection isn't a big deal if the vehicle is in good shape otherwise.

Thanks guys , Ill give it a shot just running it through and letting them know its a swap first . The 4cyl insurance is going to be dirt cheap
5.0 with 4.10's will be a fun daily driver

My only concern would be if you have that cheaper 4 cyl. insurance and you have a serious accident, ICBC might not cover you and your car with the 8 cyl. motor. They look for any excuse not to pay claims.
