Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

I have a four-door vette in the driveway. I think a four-door viper might be interesting.

We'll see.

....actually, been on four wheels for some time.

I got the blower re-installed in September and ran it around the block a few times. Motor and blower are fine at this point.

BUT

having a problem with the high speed fans. Simply cannot figure out how to get them to come on or why they aren't coming on. Also failed Air Care in a huge way.

Hopefully this Saturday the car goes to Rrashpaul's shop to see if he can fix the fans and also tune for air care.

Then I have to get an inlet pipe made for the air filter side of the blower.

HOPEFULLY, insure it for the whole summer.

Re: Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

Nice! I can't see the fans being a problem at all, if all checks out/Relay, are those fans aftermarket? May need a higher AMP rated relay, I can't see it being a big problem to find.

Hope she passes emissions, note that if your'e using the FLP cats, I must say, they are not the best cats on the plannet LOL, and they do go bad just sitting there, I suggest getting new cats.

Re: Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

I think I know who your talking about Rybar yeah Sean I'd give him a try instead of a shop who will bill you through the nose and break something else LOL as it seems like is a reoccuring issue with your frequent visits

But as far as finding probs like this is simple basic electronics.

Re: Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

just rig up a signal wire between the 2 relays, that way your high speed will kick in with your primary fan ..

as for aircare ... put your stock ECU back in with the program i made to make it pass last time

id be glad to make it pass again

Re: Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

I think he's looking for a proper fix for fans

However, aircare should not be a concern at all so long as your o2 is doing it's job properly and cats are good with your setup.

But something tells me the advise of the Young Ones will not be taken.

Re: Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

Hey Shaun did you pass the OBDII readiness tests at aircare? Not sure if your FAST system interferes with these tests - if it does you will have to revert back to your stock PCM during emissions testing.

Anyway my point is that come August when the current Aircare contract expires, they are most likely going to get rid of tailpipe sniffer tests for OBDII cars, and just check the readiness tests. You will pass as long as you dont have more then 2 readiness failures.

If you want to ensure the car for the summer you could just take the maximum 3-month permit now that you failed aircare, and wait for aircare to 'expire' in august.

Re: Hmmmmm *rubs chin*

I think that will only apply to 98+ cars.
