Engine bay cleaner

Can anyone recommend a strong regreaser for the engine bay? Project 'stang has a layer of skung that only seems to come off with a plastic scraper....

I'm new at this engine bay cleaning too. I ran a thread in the show n' shine and Simply Green seemed to be a popular choice. I'm just waiting for some decent weather first.

ya from what i heard as well simple green is by far the best thing to use
