...it works better with the FRA! mod
Are you talking about the FIPK or just the filter?
If just the filter, there are no gains. Will it void warranty? Shouldn't, but it has in some rare cases (the kn cleaning oil is said to be non-sensor safe and manufacturers have tried to link it - successfully in some cases - to causing damage where the user has appliued TOO much oil). I don't like the KN unit myself for fitment reasons. This just applies to the filter issue. I got Holley myself.
The idea of a reusable filter isn't so expensive after 50,000 kms or replacing paper ones. The cost breaks even then. thats why I got a reusable filter. NOT for hp gains.

I got a noticeable improvement after doing the complete FIPK... the car is snappier and breathes better. Totally worth it and I recommend it... just doing the filter alone doesn't really do anything performance wise... I had just the K&N filter originally and after I got the whole FIPK there was a noticeable improvement in power and responsiveness... can't really notice gas mileage improvements, but that's probably more to do with the lead sneakers I have in my car
