Unhappy Clutch won't disengage

I was driving my car today and when I went to stop I noticed the clutch didn't disengage fully. When the car was stopped with the clutch pedal down I couldn't shift into any gear unless the car was shut off. Once I started the car again with the clutch pedal pressed fully down the car was a little hard to start and when it did the car started moving.

Any ideas?? The clutch, PP and TO bearing are all about two years old. I don't know anything about tranny's.

Thanks, CanadianZ

mine has done something simmilar but it was when i was going into third at higher rpms. clutch pedal stayed in but still disingaged the clutch. i was like wtf, and then the pedal came back out and was normal again.
ive read about it on the ls1.com forums before. i think they fixed it in 2000. but i think your clutch is different than mine anyways.
my friend had a 95 z, and his clutch seemed way different

I belive Payam's car did that, aside from the fact that its Payam's car, he just floored the thing & it disengaged, hasn't done it since.

Well, I have to get it to work today so I will try Payams meathod of fixing it. I will be checking it for fluid levels or air in the system later today. Hopefully, everything is okay.

I was just about to suggest the fuild levels. Sounds like a leak to me, or moisture got into the fluid and it's compressing too much.
Also, if you can, check the little bar that goes from the slave cylinder to the clutch fork (i haven't been under a car of the same Gen as yours, so I'm kinda guessing here), and make sure it hasn't shortened itself somehow.

Good luck.
