AutoX on Sunday, June 29th
OK guys,
I notice alot of you have been talking smack about your driving abilities and car handling prowess. What better way to see how you and your ride REALLY stack up then attending the UBC-BCMA autoX event at Boundary Bay this weekend?
Please visit the following link for the details and Pre-Registration signup. If you don't pre-reg, you might not get in when you arrive on Sunday morning.

Some of you guys have experienced the adrenaline rush that autoX provides - I prefer it to drag racing myself, which is why I set my car up for handling rather then drag racing. I can't wait to test out my new setup, altho I will be in a brutal class
Now let's see who wants to step up and walk the walk after talking the talk!

Wow, I would really like to bring my old second gen out to an auto cross
On the ubcscc page it says the event is open to card carrying members of UBCSCC and BCMA. Do I have to join one of these groups just to go to one of these events?

You will need to join the UBC or BCMA club. Joining the UBC club costs $20 for a year, and the event itself will be $20 I think (check the link I posted). You can join the UBC club at the event, just make sure to pre-register at the link I provided to ensure that you get through the gates in the morning (they are limiting attendance to 120 drivers).
I'd love to go Draco but I have to work this weekend. Do they Auto X every Sunday? Count me in next month. My firehawk is equipped with the Bilstein suspension package. I just bought SLP SFC's and Hotchkis STB. I can't think of a better way to straighten out those corners.
Drumhawk, the schedule is available at the UBC Sports Car Club website. http://www.ubcscc.com
I wouldn't recommend going to a regional event for your first time. Pick a closed club event where things are a little more relaxed.

Thanks for the link Alex. I'm gonna sign up. Most auto X events require helmuts and a roll cage is a good idea too. Come on guys, let's get a group together and check out our driving ability. There was an auto X down in the states and this guy had a Diablo. Everyone was drooling and checking it out. But during his run he screwed up, at the end of the long straight-away there is a hairpin corner and this guy in the Diablo didn't make the turn, hit the cones and spun-out.
It takes more than a hot car to get a good time.

Good luck to those that are attending.
