New from Saginaw MI
New from Saginaw MI
Well to start off Ill tell you about myself. Im from Saginaw MI. I picked up a 1989 Camaro RS for $2900 in Macomb MI on August 2nd. Its redish in color and has about 79,000 actual miles when I first got it. Right now its reading at 86,000 without winter driving. I know its not a Z28 but the thinks I've done to it and the things I plan on doing to it I could say its a z28 or Iroc. Over the winter I bought a 350tpi thats running about 330hp and 360tq. I put a posi in my car that was out of a Trans Am. I havent put the motor in the car yet but hopefully it will be in by the end of this month. I am 18 years old, almost 19 on the 8th of April. Ive always been in love with the looks of 3rd gen camaros and also 4th gens. Basicly every camaro year I go crazy for. I have always worked on cars for the longest time. My dad used to race (circle track) and I always remember helping him with the car. Right now I like to make cars shine and look nice like every other car guy. I like to go fast and hear the sounds of a screaming small block. Well thats about me.. Any questions feel free to ask. Ill tell you just about anything. Oh and I love to take pictures of my car. Im kind of a ***** when it comes to sunny days and boredom.

Nice pictures there - from the Court street bridge??
You remind me of someone else I know on this forum, a long-time friend. He got started in much the same way as you and he's been hooked on third-gens for twelve years or so. Personally, I've had mine for 21 years now. It's an addiction; a nice one at that.
Welcome to the board, and we look forward to seeing your car with the TPI in it real soon. Is the Friday cruise at Green Acres Plaza still happening during the summers?

Looks like medium red metallic paint, very familiar! Looks well taken care of too, usually the front bumpers are all scraped up from parking too close to curbs.
If you need any wiring done, a guy on here just started a shop called Downriver Motorsports Wiring. He has wired a few thirdgen f bodies.
Have you been to the Woodward cruise? Some of us rent a lot that holds about 40 cars, its a good day of spectating. Not as close as the flint cruise but pretty entertaining.
Your dad probably told you what mine told me... if its got t!ts or tires, it can be a lot of trouble. Haha be careful out there

Welcome! Nice 3rd gen! I have a soft spot for those.
If you feel like making a drive an hour or so south for a car detail day, check out this thread:

Ill talk to him about it but now 100% for sure cause 4.11's wouldnt be to fun to have for an hour on the highway. Ill talk to him friday and let you guys know. Seems to be a blast.
