Hey all
so found you guys while looking for advice for headers on my 95 Z28 and decided to join. Hopefully I can get some sound advice from people who have gone through what I am about to do. Speaking of let’s talk about my baby, I own a 95 Z28 Camaro with a 6 speed manual and have put a ton of miles on it. The car has been all across the US since it was given to me in 2008. My grandfather and dad bought her for me as a graduation from Boot Camp present and after 225k miles (had 58 when I got her) she needs a full work up. Hope I can get some good advice during the restore process. Later days
Welcome to the forum. I'm wondering what you have replaced so far, and what you want the car to become. Got pix? There's a lot of good help here.
To make a long and irritating story very short I just got the car back from a guy who was SUPPOSED to do the body work had it for 2+ years and never touched it so I’m just starting the restore. Plan is to keep it the original patriot red but add metal flake to the paint (red and silver) to make it pop. I also need to pull the motor and do a freshen up on it I’ll post some pics of her later I have what she looked like when I got her and where I am at now so it should be a fun project.
Here are the photos of my baby at current got to order new genders hood front and rear bumper and get the rest of the body work knocked out I’ll add more pics as she comes along Rear at current time Driver side at current Passenger side at current time Front at current time Driver interior at current time Dash at current time Passenger interior at current time

AzmoXIII,
If dollars count, and "stock" performance is all you need, check out the engines that you can get from a salvage yard, now and then. Prices can be good or bad, and you might even find an "upgrade" motor, so no wild rush, just hang tough until the right deal appears. Cars blasted in the back will often have nice motors. A good mechanic can often find the best deals, and even do the engine swap for you. You may keep the old engine, if that means something to you, or if you need a hobby.

Ray42 I actually am a mechanic and believe it or not at 212000 this car still runs like a raped ape. Only reason I have to pull the motor is because last time I had her at the track my rusted out exhaust manifold bolts broke on the back and I am not killing myself to reach them lol. Plus gives me an excuse to do plugs wires and an ac compressor while it’s out will save myself a few hours of swearing this way.
