Bro. Rob

Excited to be on this forum. I have '98 Camaro Z-28. I bought it brand new in May of '98, and I have put every mile on it. Never have done anything to the engine, but change the oil and service it completely regularly (every 2000 miles). I have put 2 rearends in it, and several ac compressors. It has 341,000 miles on it, and it still really runs great. I am having a problem with the automatic lights. All of the dash lights go out when the automatic lights come on, and as soon as they go off in the light the dash lights come back on. Need some help and ideas, please

Welcome to CamaroZ28.com ! ! !

Amazing history on your Z28.

Just a heads up. This site claims something like 135,000 members. Unfortunately, not many of them are active. Maybe a 1/2-dozen that actually try to help, most of them LT1 fans. There is one moderator that owns an LS1. I've been here for 26 years and make an effort to help everyone. I never owned a Z28, had a 94 Formula that I bought new and sold in 2022.

By “automatic lights”, are you referring to the daytime running lights (DRL)?

Yes. That's what I am talking about.

Do you have a copy of the 1998 factory service manual? If not, free download:

When I get a chance I'll take a look at the DRL schematic. Have not dealt with them.
