Avoid Quest Racing in Worcester mass

There are alot of newbies on the board and especially in this section which is extremely slow at the moment and I haven't been here that much but I figured I'd share the word as this board is good for sharing information and experiences so here goes......

I'll give the short version (feel free to let me know if you want the long story and I'll sit down with a couple of beers and tell the tale....)

Anyway, for those that are new.....

AVOID Quest Racing in Worcester mass as they are the biggest buch of hacks known to man......

They will gladly build you a motor and charge you along the way only to blow it up and expect you to pay for it again (happend to two members of this section) or (as in my personal experience) they take your money (over 2K) call you at 9 pm hounding you for money (thanks dragonlady aka Charlene the *****), take over 5 months to get your car to run on 5 cylinders and blame somebody else for your problems so you have to take it to a reputable shop (SRA Transmission in Portsmouth RI) who has to rip out all their hack work and re-engineer their setup to get it to run.

Just a friendly FYI.

same deal with me, but it was JPR in NJ. i can argue the greatest hack distinguishment though. this guy was the neo of hacks. but action engine machining is kind enough to help me fix it all...

happens too much, so many greedy people in this business.

Re: Avoid Quest Racing in Worcester mass

>I've had a similar problem with Nu-Tek (Nick Norris) supposed to be a reputable LT1 engine builder maybe he is but what a scam artist .
we had a GP for engines a few years back and I paid in full for a shortblock which took well over 5 months or so to receive (not really a big deal , but) when I received it it was delivered in a wooden crate that had splinters everywhere including the cylinders and the whole shortblock was turn upside down (R&L Carriers fault) so I return it to Nu-tek and they accept it but I don't hear from them for another 2 month and when I finally get their attention they still don't have my engine ready for another month . So I asked them either ship it out soon or return the money and they told me it would take 6-8 weeks to return my credit to my card . So I contacted my CC company and they went after them and refunded my credit card .
moral of the story always use your credit card (no cash , money order , or check) and they will back you also stay away from Nick Norris and company !

I think I am done raving

And I wasn't too happy with Golen's either. Not quite as bad as the stories about. They pretty much screwed me on my head with the crack in the exhaust port. So far I've got about 1000 mi on the shortblock and it still has oil pressure so I guess I'm doing okay!
