Post Zex??

I've seen summit racing is now offering a new Nos kit from Zex. It's made just for the lt1. 75-125 shot. Has anyone seen these yet? Tested? Experiences? Do I need any other mods? Any help. TY

I'll tag along with this thread.

Does the ZEX kit support a window switch or does it have something like this built into its controller?...... Two questions there really.

I'm faily certain that the ZEX kits only have the electronic TPS switch, no window switch.

I have the Zex LT1 kit with heater, custome purge(im going to get a pic today and put it up), remote opener. The kit does work with a window switch just like any other kit. It does NOT have its own window switch. Kit is very easy to install and includes every part, however the 3/16" hose they supply is wayyy too short. I had to go and buy 8ft extra. Kit comes with an walbro in-line fuel pump. Thats why the LT 1 kit is like $150 more than the other inport zex kits. I have never had a detination problem or anything like that since I installed it. The bottle really does seem to regulate fuel pressure perfectly. I did have a problem with plugs thought. Get colder plugs at the same time. I tried to cheat that step cause I had just put in new regular plugs and ended up toasting 3 of them. Anyhow, performance is awesome. I havent dynoed it yet, but its definently working. It made my car a old(385hp) ZO6 eater on just the 75 shot. You wont be dissapointed with the kit.

Also, If you decide to buy it. Buy it off Ebay. I did got the LT 1 kit brand new for $595, instead of the price Zex wants. I think it $740??. Basically ebayt will save you the price of the fuel pump. Meaning you will get the kit at about the same price that the rest of their kits sell. Then you have to buy all the goodies. Thats another $400-500 at least. Have fun, its a great kit.

Oops..I forgot, the other cool thing about the Zex kit is that its actived at so called WOT, when TPS voltage is greate than 4.2v. However, for my car that is about 85% throttle, which means I still have about 1/4"-1/2" of throttle/gas to push down on while nitrous is running. On my buddies GTP, is has a microswich which ONLY activates when it is fully hammered.

Thx bro. Hey, does using the Hypertech PP affect it in any way? Or do you need to use stock computer info? I'm using the HPP now.

Im not too sure. It might affect it if the power tuning is set due to increased timing. I had my computer reporgrammed with the LT4km to run nitrous. However, its not necessary. FWIW.. Jeff, one of my friends with a 96 Z28 has the same kit as me without all the accessories, running the 100shot with not problems and stock compuer.
