Zex Problem
Zex Problem
Well I am still having problems with my used zex kit...
Everything is hooked up correctly and everything is set on go, but when I floor it with the zex system armed I don't go any faster!
I can hear the nitrous being injected into the throttle body, so the only possibility is that I am not getting any additional fuel. We hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to my shraeder valve on the fuel rail and I am at 42-44 lbs. baseline and 50 lbs. on the bottle - we checked this correctly - Is 50 lbs. adequate or correct for a 75 shot on dry zex? I really apprectiate any and all responses.

fuel presure sounds fine. People are running 150 shot and higher on the stock fuel pump. You are spraying both fuel and n2o, if you were only spraying n2o i think you would know it
Perhaps a fitting on your nozzle is loose? Did you purge the system to make sure there is no air in the line? I am just starting my n2o expirence also, so I am just going through the simpile things. Anyone more expirenced wanna chime in?

FYI the people that spray anything above 125 on a stock pump are candidates to bad mouth nitrous when the engine blows.
i dont use dry kits, but you will definately know if there is nitrous only flowing.
check the plugs, make sure you havent melted any.
are you sure it is spraying when you go full throttle? you wont hear the nitrous with the engine running.

Working but....
Nitrous is working but I don't think I am getting the full 75 shot, I have a g tech in the car and I pull .44 g's off the bottle in 1st gear and .54 g's with 75 shot - does this sound right - it feels more like a 25 or 30 shot to me. Also my bottle is lasting a long time. The other evidence is that if I close my bottle I can get a similar full run 1st 2nd and 3rd gear only from line pressure - (closed bottle)
There are 2 slight bends in my nitrous lines but nothing significant - maybe slightly more than a banana.
With my current set up if I roll into it in 1st - fully floored and hitting nitrous at 3000rpm I get some light wheel skip and slightly harder chirp than when off the bottle as I hit 2nd and a tiny chirp in 3rd which it will not do off the bottle - does this sound right for a 75 shot?? I am started to get annoyed and worried about running this on my high milage car - if anyone can offer any assistance I would greatly appreciate it.
