You guy running BIG shots of dope>>>

I know most of you run fulie cars but just curious if any of you have had or know anyone with experience using speed tech nitrous systems in a carbed application.

I plan on upping the pills this year and have read/been told that plates utilizing spray bars have a hard time distributing the spray in large shots.
You can get lean spots on different cylinder.

I looked at this new plate from speedtech and they claim to have fixed this issue??

anyone have any comments...

Thanks

Re: You guy running BIG shots of dope>>>

The new plates from Nitrous Express have solved this issue greatly. They actually offer carb plates that are good for dual staging up to 1200 hp shot.... I am currently running a Gemini Quad plate system on a 383 stroker. It's this kit here: Gemini Quad.

Nitrous express has done away with the spray bars period. They don't even sell a kit with spraybars anymore. All of their carb plates are billet, with every port aimed at the intake runner.... Distribution problems are solved with this plate. As NX describes it "We've got the corners covered."

I have been running 350 shot for the past year with this plate, and still havent found reason to swap to direct port....

I'll send you a pm with more information on this setup....

With the new technology, I think the weak link is manifold design. Even the old spraybar plates atomized better than your carb at less than 10 psi. The nitrous just amplifies any pre-existing lean condition. Put your motor on an engine dyno and find a intake and carb tune that has even EGT's across the board and your set to spray big. I personally like my NOS bigshot plate but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the major suppliers. Also, disregard any kit that claims big number and does,nt come with at least a #6 nitrous line.

I will be using a Cold Fusion plate which is quite similiar to the NOS bigshot plate. It is a real nice aluminium piece and it has 76 smaller holes in the bars where the older style bars had 8 or 12 larger holes. I think I will be fine especially since I am using a Team G single plane intake with the 2" raised plenum (sp?).

Happy spraying all !
