as long as the tune up/fuel system/ignition system are good, there should not be a problem with those and a 150 shot.

i ran a 175 shot for 4-5 months and a 150 shot for 2+ years on a set of stock hyper. pistons and had no damage.

As racing said they will hold(make sure your stuff is up to par).I run the KB piston in my 355. Many bottles later its still running strong!!!

I don't believe this is an appropriate piston. Isn't it a light weight piston designed for a "restricted" 2bbl application? Call KB and talk to them before going ahead.

krause... you da man..

I just assumed when he said hyper in the above post that link was to a KB HYPER piston not a CLAIMER. As krause pointed out you might want to rethink that piston choice.

Guess I better not assume anymore....

if you're really after 11 to 1 c/r, you could have the heads milled or shaved or whatever it's called. i don't know the exact number, but for like ever .006 you shave off. it decreases your combustion chamber by 1cc, and decreasing the combustion chamber CC will raise the c/r.

you'll have to do a search to find out the exact amount to shave off to get what you want.

you will not miss/notice a .25 point of compression. run the forged piston,or cut the heads,or get a custom piston. cheapest of the 3 will be running the 10.75:1.
