I still need a tune Im sure.....gotta a lsracingchips tune now..but when can I can start using NO without damage? the new motor has about 1600miles on it now.

when would it be ok for say a 100 shot?

So get a tune and then have them check it with the nitrous also if your putting it on the dyno. I'd say you were ready 1k ago.

I was spraying mine on the intitial start up......J/K

I would wait until after the engine builders reccomended break in term....but with 1600 miles on it you are fine.

We ran my brand new engine on the engine dyno for an hour with varying loads and RPM, drained/replaced the oil, changed the filter, checked all the torque specs, leaks, etc. From that point forward it was run through numerous pulls to set the NA tune, 125-shot tune and then the 275-shot tune. No "break-in", other than the one hour on the dyno. No damage , at least none that's apparent 7 years later.
