I was just wondering what other companies ( other than Nitrous Express) rate their HP gains at the rear wheels?

Just curious.... how does the nitrous kit manufacturer know if the kit is going on an engine running through a manual tranny (as low as 12% loss), or a loose converter on a non-locking, heavy automatic (25%+ loss)? Would seem to be a factor.

Dynotune Nitorus rates there kits at the motor for the exact reason stated by Injuneer. Also people with highly modified motors may change tranny's or other drivetrain components causing differention in numbers.

They don't, just as they don't know what type of cam profile or if the heads flow a ton on the exhaust port. They are ballpark numbers, just as when you jet at the crank. When you jet our kit for a 100 shot you are going to pick up right around 100 to the wheels, + or - a few. Now for the guys that have a loose converter on a non-locking, heavy automatic tranny more then likely they are playing with their jetting to get it just where they want it at.
