150 easy, if you have your timing and fuel system correct you can spray more on a forged bottom end no problem, but watch for detonation/loss of fuel pressure/bottle pressure etc. I sprayed a 200 shot on a tired old 305 for almost an entire season and had no issues. Changed the oil after every track day, watched bottle pressure and had 100 octane in the fuel cell for the stand alone pump for the nitrous. Held together fine and sold the motor with good compression readings at the end of the season as well. Would do 11.60s on the 200 shot on a 14 second motor otherwise N/A.

150 would be a safe shot. Make sure to get the proper safety equipment, fuel pressure safety switch is your best friend. Dropping fuel pressure on a run can be disastrous. Im not sure what fuel pump you have but upgrading that to say a racetronix would be a very good idea. Also, dont know if you have an upgraded ignition but if you dont and are in the market for one look into the mallory 685 box. It can retard your timing for spray and can act as your window switch. Colder plugs would also need to be looked at, NGK tr-6 or autolite 104's? (I think) are one step colder than stock that most people run.
For a safe system: IMO
Colder plugs, window switch, retard timing, ignition, purge, bottle heater, upgraded fuel pump, and FPSS

no inline fuel pump here and no upgraded ignition and what does a fuel pressure safety switch do ...where would it hook up .....i now have some things i need to buy

Re: what hp shot could be used safely?
Fuel pressure safety switch goes inline with the fuel line on the n20 and if the fuel pressure drops below a certain point 30-35lbs (i think) it turns the nitrous off. A loss in fuel pressure can cause a major booom in the motor.

If you are going to only run 150 you can do that with a good fuel pump and NGK TR6 or equivalent...if you are going to spray 200 or more I would go with a dedicated fuel system, as you are reaching the limits of the fuel rails to feed both the motor and the nitrous kit. You will also need to upgrade the line from the nitrous solenoid to the nozzle as the -3 line will only flow ~175.
I would also go with at least a 2 step colder plug.
You will also need to make sure the solenoids can flow the amount you are wanting to run. There are companies out there that sell solenoids that max out at 175-200hp.
