What gear with N2O

I am thinking of adding nitrous to my 1994 Z28, mods are in the sig.

So if I add a 150 shot to it what gear would be the best to run?

I currently have a 3.73. Would a 3.42 be better or what?

i would personally stay with the 3.73's if you can hook it.

i went 11.0's with a stock longblock and 3.70's with a 27" tire.

Traction so far has been fine, I have pulled a 1.69 on Nitto's.

I was thinking more of it might have to shift to overdrive with the 3.73's

If it were me, I'd try what I had and see how it worked before guessing at what might be better.

you would have to be running a ery short tire to shift into OD. friend ran 4.10's and a 26" tire and had to pull 4th about 75-80' before the finish line with his heads cam car.

The tires I will be running are 274/40 17 Nittos at first, maybe later some 26" ET Streets.

I also already have a 3.42 gear so i wouldn't have to buy one.

I went from 3.73's to 3.23's and picked up .14 in the 8th
I also hated my 3.73's when driving 70-80mph.
Your car is hooking really well for 17" DR
I would spray it and see how long the 3.73's last, teh 3.42's will be a stonger gear and take more abuse.

That sounds like a plan, funina91ss.

I hope the car keeps hooking that way too, another thing is that I have lowering springs and that doesn't help the traction.

One more question has anyone on here ran slicks with the car lowered? I put a set of 26" ET Drags on it and they looked like they may hit on takeoff.

My 3.73's seem to never end, but they feel nice on the bottle
