Well... Im down.. Dry Kit.. Which one?

Ive done some searching and well I'm going dry kit.. simply because.. smog and thats about it! but Ive seen that theres a Zex Dry and a Nos Dry setup... My goals are well keeping this my DD and using juice at the track... My whole thing is... 75-100hp thats it... I figured if i use a zex dry kit and tr6's... i should be cool right?? with that low of a shot would i need to upgrade anything else? Dont know if it matters.. but i prefer spraying after first gear shifts to right b4 my 3rd.

Thanks guys.. Appreciate it.

Whether you are running a dry kit or a wet kit, it is not going to effect your emissions. Colder plugs are a good idea and a window switch would also be a cheap investment.

With the dry kit, depending on the amount you want to spray, you would have to upgrade the injectors. With the wet kit, it would be a good idea to upgrade to a better fuel pump like the Racetronix 255lph unit which can be bought for under 150 bucks. Also, a bottle heater, colder plugs, and a window switch are all some good things to have.

Re: Well... Im down.. Dry Kit.. Which one?

Here is a little breakdown of what I did:
Nitrous Express Dual Nozzle GM wet kit
Mallory 685 ignition box (has a built-in window switch and timing retard function)
NGK TR-6 Spark Plugs
Nitrous Express Gen X2 upgrade kit (includes bottle heater, fuel pressure safety switch, nitrous pressure gauge, and some various fittings, manifolds, and wires)
Racetronix 255lph fuel pump
Custom WOT switch mounted on a billet bracket
Custom nitrous bottle mounting plate for the spare tire area

After it was all said and done, it ran around 1500 bucks.

if I were you I would read this forum for awhile, or do some searches before deciding on if/when you should do this. The fact that you were going to select a dry kit just because of emissions, which has nothing to do with anything when you consider that running this on the street is illegal anyway leads me to believe you should probably understand how everything works together before doing this.

Actually, in relation to the above post, here is a link to a book all about nitrous. I bought this several years ago and it really goes into depth about everything and they actually do a NOS dry kit install on an LT1 and do some track results with it. It also covers all the DOs and DON'Ts, along with wiring, plumbing, terminology, ect. Very good book. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/188...lance&n=283155
