n20?s need advice
forgive my ignorance -very new to n20
95Lt1 A4 fully suspension, 3.42 richmond, custom trans,3000stall
im building a 383stroker, forged probe bottom, isky cam ect..
i want to squeeze current motor stock, and later the stroker
never been to track but will visit every now and then,
mostly street. -everyday driver
i ordered the NXmaf kit w/ 15lb bottle
what else and why -would be neccesary?
should i get the nx gen2 upgrade or just get needed accesories?
tpas switch that will come with the kit, does that eliminate anything, like window switch or wot switch???

From what i can tell the TPAS switch eliminates the WOT switch for that kit. You will still be able to run a window switch and such. Other things you may want are for one, colder plugs if you dont have them already, and a fuel pressure saftety switch. Im not sure which ignition you are going to run but for nitrous apps the mallory 685 seems to be the one. Built in window switch and ability to retard timing while spraying.

I would definitely get the Gen X2 upgrade kit, it will include your blowdown tube to stay track legal, it will also contain a bottle heater, fuel pressure safety switch, nitrous pressure gauge, and some various manifolds, fittings, connectors,and wiring. The Mallory 685 ignition box is a good idea also because it contains both a window switch and a timing retard feature internally. The automatic bottle opener is not a necessity but it makes things easier on you.

Heres what i did for my kit.
HSW Wet Kit, custom blowdown tube, bottle heater, purge, fuel pressure safety switch, Mallory 685 ignition, NGK TR6 plugs(one step colder from stock) and i belive thats it.
From what 2000GTP said the upgrade kit would be good idea as it has all of the other things besides the kit to have a safe system.
IMO the remote bottle opener is something that i would get after i got my kit and got it working and used it for awhile. But if you have the money and want it then go for it.

I forgot to mention that a aftermarket fuel pump would also be a good idea. I picked up the Racetronix 255lph fuel pump for 140 bucks and it is a direct replacement for the stock unit.

Thats one thing i havent done yet but am looking into doing it in the near future.

i do have the racetronix f/p kit, and 38lb injectors but havent installed them yet.
so the mallory 685 is the best box to go with?
it works to retard timing and as a window switch?
im gonna change the plugs too
