Two stages and retarding the timing

I'm not even done hooking up the nitrous yet, and I'm thinking of running a two stage set-up. I'll be running the 685 ign. box with the Nitro Daves plate system. Maybe a 100 shot off the line. The car might be traction limited. Then how about another 50 once the car hits 2nd. Could something like a MSD retard box be wired in to the system to retard the timing another 2 degress or whatever it needs, once the 2nd stage kicks in? I was thinking a button on the steering wheel, to trigger the 2nd stage. Any draw backs to running two systems off of one bottle? Thanks, Rick.

Take a look at the MSD Digital Multi-Retard unit (http://www.msdignition.com/tc_6.htm) I'm thinking about running run of these or maybe the FJO Nitrous Mini-Controller (http://www.fjoracing.com/products/2stageminicontroller/)

I have both systems, but they are not yet tried them. I'm leaning towards the FJO because of the ability to progressively bring in the 200 shot that I will be running.

I think with the suspension setup you have you'll have no problem hooking up on the 150 shot.

You can retard the timing for the first stage via the IAT mod, and the 2nd with the box.

You trick the iat into thinking it's a high temp, then in the tune, you change those cells to pull how ever much timing you wish. Do a search on ls1tech and you should be able to find more info on it.
