TNT vs NX

Hi guys, new to the board here.

What's better? A TNT kit of NX kit? With a 100hp shot, which would give you more rwhp?

Which is safer?

Both companies rate their systems for rwhp gains. Lots of people like both companies. It boils down to a personal preference. NX does have a lifetime guaranty on their noids. Don't know if TNT does. Do a search for polls taken. Plenty of threads on it.

I want to run a progressive controller.

Will a Nos controller or a Jacobs mastermind work with either kit? Which of these is better?

Also is an MSD Digital 6 the way to go for ignition? I have an Accel 300+ right now.

The mastermind has an advantage because it uses RPM to progress your nitrous shot whereas the NOS controller uses a time delay.

the master mind is a NIGHTMARE to setup and make work correctly. it is rpm based,BUT has no numbers to go by on the dials, just a sweeping ramp. not very precise.
I like the nitrous Express mastermind and thier new model is killer, lots of nice features like built in window switch etc.

as far as the 2 systems go,TNT seems to run a larger shot then when compared to NX. 2 jets flow more then 1,and tnt kits flow more nitrous and fuel then NX for a given hp rating.

I would strongly suggest you NOT buy the jacobs mastermind. I've messed with two so far and ended up putting either a NOS or NX prgressive. NX's new progressive uses a palm pilot to control it from the drivers seat. It is awesome! My friend just became a warehouse dealer for them and advertises on here. He keeps one in stock. cough( www.speedtechnologies.net )

If you use the NOS controller you may need a relay for it. The drivers in it are only 50amp. And I think NX and TNT solenoids draw a few more amps than the NOS ones. Just something to keep in mind.

Thanx guys. Especially the info on the relays.

N2Ofiend: I can't find the NX controller on his site, just the kit.

Its very bad to run the relays with drivers like that. All the fast opening and closing gives it a real good chance to arc and weld closed at that high current. Safest bet is just to use the NX controller cause it will be rated to handle thier own solenoids.

We've never had a problem with relays "welding" the contacts to gether. Use a good Hella relay and you should be fine.
