Where do you all have your switches mounted?? I am starting to get more and more switches. Fan switch, line lock, i'm wondering where i'll put all these switches if i get a nitrous kit.

Re: Switch Set-ups

I made a custom panel for the little storage area under the stereo. I used 1/16" aluminum. I am going to take some pics and put them up on my site sometime soon.

Re: Switch Set-ups

That sounds pretty cool. Yea get some pics up and pm me when you do. I really was thinking about trying that. I kindof want to try to match the plastic, but i think it will be impossible. Next semester i have plastics i believe so i'll probably try in there. I remember someone made some once upon a time....don't know if it's true or what not. I know i was thinking of a panel that would flip around and lock into place so you could hide the nitrous gauges and switches in that cubby. I think it would be really hard to do. If some company would just make one

Re: Switch Set-ups

Most stereo shops carry that black plastic that matches.

When I had my 94 Z I bought a piece of the plastic, cut it square to fit the hole, mounted two gauges and switches in it and it looked just like the piece RK Sport used to sell.

To be stealth, you could tint your gauge (with window tint) really dark and then put a hyperwhite bulb in it and make it so that the bulb comes on when you arm the system. That would be sweet.

Re: Switch Set-ups

That's a cool idea^

Do you know if i can get it online? I don't have any really good audio shops around me other than like circuit city, abc wherehouse, etc. It probably has to be a more custom place to get the plastic i would think maybe not though?

Re: Switch Set-ups

I have the nitrous switches in the ashtray compartment, using the NX switches for activation/heater and bottle opener only. The line lock activation switch/lite are mounted on the cigarette lighter plate, and the line lock button and purge button are on the console; side and top respectively. I emailed you some pics showing my set-up. The 2 guages in the console CD space are A/F ratio and bottle pressure. Hope this helps!
