stupid purge question

So I got to looking at the purge systems on the market and have a pretty simple question. Is there some reason in particular you have to use the "manifold" or whatever its called coming off the Nitrous solenoid to connect the purge solenoid? Can you not just use fittings to connect the purge directly to the nitrous solenoid?

Dunno what you're talking about....mine are connected directly with a fitting.

Re: stupid purge question

Some nitrous solenoids only have two ports (e.g. NOS).... one inlet, and one outlet. That means you need to add an inline fitting prior to the nitrous solenoid to attach your purge.

Other solenoids (e.g. - NX Iceman Pure-Flo) have an extra port on the solenoid that the purge can be connected to.

right, and thats what was confusing me. I have an Iceman 'noid sitting right here in front of me with the purge port on the body of it, but I hadn't seen any photos of a purge hooked up to it, just a NOS one I guess with the inline fitting.

Re: stupid purge question

Either way will be fine as long as you don't use duct tape... lol
