Exclamation Sparying with 2 fogger plates.

I wanted to know how good sparying with 2 plates works?
Why you might ask, I was thinking it would be a good way to get a smaller size, 3 stage system.
What I was thinking was I would have 2 fogger plates on top of each other one plate could be set up for say a 50 shot and the second plate could be set up for 75 shot ( I can think of lots of combos).
plate 1 could spary a 75 shot.
plate 1 cuts out and plate 2 starts sparying a 100 shot.
the engine climbs to a certain rpm and plate 1 starts sparying along with plate 2 to make a 175 shot.
I want to know can you spary with 2 plates and not blow stuff up?
Not if it can be wired up I have that all figured out all but the ignition retard part (saved easy part 4 last).
Any one ever try this before with 2 plates?
If it did blow up was it be cause of useing 2 plates and thats all?
Or the way they were controaling the plates?
If sparying 2 plates at the same time is like jugling hand grenades with pins pulled how about 1 plate and then the second plate and no combined sparys (just a plate spacing question)?
I never herd of it being done.

Built a 327 for a guy in a Luv truck, he was using two Powershot plates (125 each) stacked on a Victor Jr. We set it up to leave on one plate off the WOT switch, and he ran the second stage on a button (used his stock horn switch, with a 2 position toggle) He sprayed one or the other, or both, ran for a couple years on the street with no problems. We had a MSD 3-stage retard, 2 deg. on each plate.
Since then, most of my two stage setups have been a Fogger and a plate.. or 2 nozzles on FI cars.

Very ingenius idea. I like it when people are thinking.

For starters its gonna take some wiring, several relays, timers, to do it properly.

Personally I've never considered doing a system that way... Interesting to say the least. There are some issue though.

How would you go about trying to shut off the 1st stage seamlessly with the engaement of the 2nd stage. You don't want to stop the flow all together but then again you don't want a sudden spike either.

Also the fuel tune-ups will be very tough if not impossible to nail down. I'd rather have the capability of a seperate tune-up that I've tuned for each stage. I doubt that what would be a good tune-up on the first stage would work well when brough back in later on top of another stage......

The problem lies in that to do it correctly you can't actually just stack system on top of system and expect it to make the hp.

If you have a 2 stages. Both using 62 pills (150hp each), on the first stage you'll see 150hp. When the 2nd stage is brought in you'll probably only see 100-110 hp.

Don't take this as negative stuff, By all means feel free to experiment! Thats how new ways of doing things are made. Someone has to be the first to try everything. Just realize what the consequences of an experiment gone haywire are.

Good luck!

I all ready have the relays and wiring figured out.
Now how do you draw up the ignition advance diagram?
How many wires where do they go and what do they do?
All I need is the ignition advance boxes and some more relay contacts and I'll be done.
