solenoid life/failure

I've been having some trouble with the NX wet kit on my Z28 for a while now and was wondering how long solenoids will usually last b/f needing a rebuild. My cars been seriously down on power recently, making 80hp to the tires with a 150 n20 jet. It was almost impossible to dial the a/f in properly, running really rich all the way down to a 28 fuel jet(low for a 150 shot), then once i went lower than that it would start really rich, spike lean a couple of times, and return to very rich b/w each spike, causing the hp curve to look like a series of waves. With the 28 fuel jet its off the charts rich, and down to a 24 or 26, can't remember, it does this spiking bs.

I bought the kit new over a year ago, have ~13 bottles through it, and have accidentally left the bottle open over night several times after street races(just plain forgot about it!) Could this be caused by my N20 noid acting up? Thanks for any help!!

leaving the bottle open could possibly do something, but i doubt that's the culprit.
Some solenoids can go hundreds of runs, and some others dont like to last long. my feeling is that your magnets have weaked (bad magnet, over heated 'not saying you did anything wrong' etc)

I believe NX has lifetime warranty on the noids, send them back and get them rebuilt, see if that solves the problem.

When my first set started to die,i noticed major problems with my et (never dyno'd the car, tune it on track). But mine were beat to hell by my progressive, and that can severely shorten life.

Sounds like what I went through. My fuel solenoid piston needed replaced, which NX did for free (and cleaned both noids). It was leaning out most of the time, as though it wasn't opening... and sometimes seemed to leak, causing me to run rich N/A.

They only charge shipping (about $10), and it's a lifetime warranty regardless of owner.

Call their # and ask for Josh.

It's a couple days turn-around. They use UPS Ground to mail them back.

Thumbs up

NX has great customer service. They just shipped something back to me yesterday, replaced it for free. I just had to pay the shipping both ways. Josh is the guy that helped me out too.
