OK to leave bottle on???

I wanted to get someones opinion on whether or not it is a good idea to leave the bottle on if the system isn't armed. It isn't accesible without pulling over and opening the rear hatch.

Thanks,
Jeff

It will put undue stress on the solenoid thus causing premature failure. The general rule of thumb is don't have the bottle open unless you're racing.

Damn glad you post. I was contemplating posting this as well.
Glad you posted that Loadre. That and the fact that I have very little power increase when the bottle isn't warm anyway, I'm going to leave mine off until the weekend.

But you know an e-bottle opener sure would have it's benefits.

I accidentally forgot mine open a couple of times and the whole bottle went dry. I know my lines are tight. So I guess for that reason turn it off. Have you considered mounting it faccing foreward between the rear seats? I did this so I could see my gauge and turn it on and off as needed. There are too many times just rolling that you cant pull over to turn it on. Next to a vette at a light is a rare occasion and I want to be preppared!

Hence the value of a remote opener. As stated above, the solenoids are not designed to hold 1000+ PSI for extended periods, and slow leaks are common in that scenario. I'm a big fan of NX stuff, including their opener, but I have not heard any problems with the NOS opener. (I'll keep ya posted as that's what I have now).
