setting window switch below 3K rpm??

i have heard some some people is actually doing this, and i only though that it is unsafe to turn on the nitrous before 3K rpm??

i turn on my nitrous at 3200 RPM....

some body please explain

It's a matter of two things. Most dramatic is the torque. You're spraying a constant feed of nitrous into the engine, regardless of RPM, right? So as the RPM is lower, the total energy combusted in each stroke goes up. So here's a curve http://www.go-fast.org/z28/photos/nitrous/n2odyno.gif - and the question is "how high are you willing to have that torque curve go?"

Second is fuel atomization - the slower the intake pulls in air/fuel, the more likely you may be to have a poor atomization, or "puddling". I have no idea how relevant this discussion is at 3000rpm, or 2500rpm, but it's certainly another item that's mentioned.

THe guy that installed my NK kit insisted on getting a 26-2800. I asked around and after everyone telling me it would tear my bottom end up I decided not to.
