RPM switch with LT1 NOS kit. Question inside please

Just picked up a NOS LT1 dry kit for my Camaro and was looking at the RPM switches. NOS has theirs that turns on at 3000 and off at 6000 rpm. I'm assuming it's basically MSD's rpm switch with NOS's name on it. Either way, does anyone out there use them and what kind of experience have you had with them? I'm thinking more from a safety standpoint. Not wanting to shoot untill about 3000 and want it to shut off before I hit my 6300rpm PCM limit. Thanks in advance.

More questions...

Another quick question. So does the Window switch work in conjunction with the WOT activation switch, or does it replace it? Just picked up an MSD window switch from Summit. Also did more reading here and I guess I don't want to wait for the PCM limiter. No boom wanted here. Guess i'll just use the MSD limiter on my 6AL and bump up the PCM limiter with my TunerCat. Thanks.

I've never used the NOS window switch, so I can't help you there. But the idea behind all these devices is to restrict when the solenoid (s) come on. So the window switch will require that your rpm be beween 3000-6000. The WOT switch will require that in addition to the window, you're at WOT (makes sense, you wouldn't want the nitrous to come on if just just gradually sped up to 3000rpm). Add a FPSS so that in addition to those two, you must have strong fuel pressure. Etc, etc, etc.

As was mentioned in another thread, it's your choice how many of these you install, and at what point they become more trouble than they might be worth.
