Retard timing with a resistor in the IAT circuit ?

I seem to remember there being talk about using resistor in the IAT circuit to retard timing (by reporting false temp, eg hot intake air temp the PCM will retard timing). I figured this could be an easy and cheap way to pull a little timing before hitting the juice by wiring a switch into the circuit that would "engage a resistor" just when you needed it. Anyone ever do this or have an idea of how it can be done. I have datamaster so I could test it to see if it actually was pulling timing. Any thoughts appreciated.

I know it works with the LS1. I can post the pic on how to do it if you still want to try.

Yes, please post the pic.
If I investigate and find that the IAT sensor is the same part or outputs the same signal / voltage range in the LS1 as it does in the LT1 then it should work. Regardless, it would be interesting to see the LS1 solution.
Thanks
