Relays in the 5176 dry kit...

So why is there two relays in the 5167 dry kits? Just wondering. Thanks.

Ok, but....

Ok, if it's for the solenoids, then why doesn't it show it wired up in the instructions? It just shows the solenoids wired together without the relay. Thats why I was wondering. So why would you use the relay with the solenoids? Thanks

The solenoids draw more curent then the arming or WOT switch can handle. The switches would kinda melt. Same reason there are solenoids that are built into the starter. They alow you to switch the high curent with very little switches and curent draw.

One is for the pump and one is for the solenoids. It doesn't show the relay hooking up to the solenoids becuase there is missprint in the instructions it shows the wiring for like a typical plate system.
