Hey, I want to get a purge kit for my car. I don't plan on using any nitrous. I want it for show (is this ok?). I don't know much about all this stuff...but if I could use a purge kit just for show w/o hurting anything, how much would one run me? Where could I get one? Would I need someone to install it or is it basically bolt in? Any help is appreciated. Thanks and God BLess

 

 

Let me make sure I understand this.... you don't want to install a nitrous kit, but you plan to put a bottle in your car ($200), and add a nitrous purge kit ($100 + line, fittings, etc.) so you can purge $4/pound nitrous to impress people?

Just curious... what do you plan to do when you purge, and the Mustang next to you does the same..... but he actually has the full nitrous kit installed on his engine???????

 

it's kinda ricey, but you can do it. all you would have to do is order a purge kit, some line, and an N2O bottle. just put the purge somewhere with the line exiting where you want it to spray, hook it to thge bottle and you will have a purge when you hit the button. you could even just order a basic, cheap dry N2O kit and use the N2O solenoid for the purge. this would probably be cheaper. this way you can sell off the extra parts. as long as you dont have N2O spraying into your motor, it won't harm anything.

 

Oh, see, I didn't know that. I told you I don't know anything about this stuff. I thought it ran off of something other than n2o. I didn't know I needed a bottle. My fault fellas. Sorry for that. God Bless
