Question plug gapping w/ digital 6

I have the nx wet kit (100-150shot). It has all the safety stuff and I have ngk-tr6 plugs that I need to install. I just bought the msd digital 6 ignition and a new msd coil. My question is what should I gap the tr6 plugs at? Someone told me if I had stock ignition to gap at .035, but if I had an aftermarket ignition to gap at .040. Please help me on this one b/c I have no idea.

I have mine gapped at .038.
But honestly, you won't notice any difference between .035 and .040. So anywhere in that range will be fine on the juice or N/A.

according to the article my gap w/ 100 shot should range from .044 - .047. But what I want to know is what would be the advantage of using .044 over .047 and vice versa.

From that article, "Insufficient spark plug gap can cause pre-ignition, detonation, even engine damage. Too much gap can result in a higher rate of misfires, noticeable loss of power, plug fouling, and poor economy." But I think anywhere in the .035-.040 range and you will be fine on and off the juice. Just remember that the gap will enlarge with time and usage.

I ran the NOS 5176-EO kit with NGK TR6's, gapped to 0.040", with the MSD-6A and had no problems. Currently running a 275 shot, cold Champion race plugs (684/S57YC) at 0.035", and fired by 8 individual LS1 coils. That setup was selected by the shop that tuned the motor, and so far no problems.
