NX nozzle location?

Does anyone have pictures of their mounting location for a shark nozzle on a non-ram air lt1? I'd like to mount it about 3" from the throttle body in the center of the duct, but it looks like there will be interference issues with the hood on top and waterpump on the bottom.

Mount it in the MAF. On the inside by the coil. Just drill and tap the MAF end that is closest to the engine. You may have to slide the rubber elbow down just a little but it will work. Also when you mount it in the aluminum the nozzle will be stable and not move around.

I think a near perfect spot is the stock IAT sensor location. The sensor easily pulls out, then you can put the threaded nut that comes with the NX kit on the inside of the elbow, then thread the nozzle in from the outside, aligning the opening to go towards the TB.

It works great and hits pretty hard! Best thing is, you can easily go back to stock since you haven't drilled any new holes!

I just ziptied the IAT sensor onto the nitrous line, next to the elbow (still an accurate reading), but may later drill a hole in my custom CAI for it.

Steve, thanks for the pics. I have that same plug. What did you use to grind it out?

JSK,
I looked at the IAT sensor hole, but it seems to me that the nozzle would be spraying more towards the wall of the duct rather than straight at the throttle body.

CT95, trust me, it works. Hard enough hit with 100hp to break loose the tires in 2nd gear at 3000 with a stock engine, Nitto DRs, solid LCAs with lowering brackets set on the lowest setting and a 25mm rear sway bar.

I thought the same thing as you, but if you've ever seen how fine the mist is that the NX nozzle sprays, and know how fast the air moves at vacuum at WOT, the slight pointing towards the wall of the elbow hardly matters.

Again, just my 0.02 since you asked. Hope this helps.

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I'm going to try mounting it in hte resonator plug. Steve, what did you use to grind out the plug? I've never had any luck with grinding stones on aluminum.

JSK, I do appreciate the suggestion!

I have access to a bridgeport milling machine. I left a 3/8 lip around the plug and milled it down to 3/4 in floor thickness, drilled a 1in hole, then cut a steel plug to press into the aluminum
I didn't like the idea of pipe threads in the aluminum, I wanted to be sure that when the nozzle came tight, it stopped in the same spot every time.
A real machinist could do it in a hour or so, took me all day.
You can do this with a diegrinder and a carbide cutter, keep spraying the cutter with wd40 so it won't clog with aluminum, and the pipethread in the aluminum would be OK, I was just being **** retentive. A quality cutter well cost about 25 and the pipe tap about 10. Just take your time with the cutter and don't get it hot, lots of wd40. Sneak up on the final fit with the pipe tap. I mounted the solinoids under the batt. tray area, so other than the fuel line off the fuel log, it's a hiddin system.
